Most community colleges and vocational or trade schools are open enrollment, meaning that you simply need to make an appointment with the admissions office and bring the necessary enrollment information to be admitted to that campus.

Some Vocational, or For Profit Institutions utilized for continuing education may require more testing to prove educational qualifications. Their federal funding guidelines may make this necessary, and this is beyond our control.

Testing Information and Preparation

When applying to a university, community college, vocational, or trade school from a private or home school program, typically, students are required to complete entrance exams. Any student that is planning on attending a university must complete SAT and/or ACT testing before applying to a campus. Scores are required to be submitted with your application. Students enrolling in a community college typically are required to complete at least a THEA test or the campus' own entrance exam. Vocational or trade schools usually have their own unique exams to issue to their students based on their degree plans, if any testing is required at all.

Military Acceptance Information

The Master’s Learning Institute understands that each branch of the Military has their individual criteria as to what they will or will not accept in a potential candidate. These criteria have differed from year to year, and The Master’s Learning Institute has tried to maintain good relations with the educational departments of each branch in order to satisfy and meet the required criteria. It is important that every individual wishing to pursue candidacy in a branch of the Military know that he or she must complete accepted programs in order to be considered. Since we are recognized as a Home School Program nationwide, all military branches have the ability to accept our home school graduates. Our Home School Program offers the opportunity to complete the number of credits required by the state of Texas to receive an official home school transcript and diploma. This means that you must complete an approved program that offers the potential candidate the opportunity to complete the number of credits required by the State of Texas in order to receive a high school diploma. Some branches may still require at least 15 college credit hours, depending on which high school is chosen to complete the required diploma in order to be considered as a viable candidate. The Master’s Learning Institute offers attendance-based programs for individuals who wish to pursue candidacy in a branch of the military, which could require a student to attend at least 9 months or more. We also offer a Project Graduation program, which could be considered if all credits were completed in a public school. We ask that if you are interested in enlisting, please contact the recruiter you are currently speaking with or one near you about your best option. Please see our information detailing each program listed on our website in order to better understand what our school has to offer. You may also contact an enrollment counselor or registrar about your decision to pursue a military career. They will assist you with the program that The Master’s Learning Institute offers to complete the necessary requirements for military enlistment purposes. If you have any further questions regarding this information, please contact our office.

**** As previously mentioned, this acceptance information can change within each branch without our knowledge. So please contact any branch you may be interested in to receive the most current education requirements.
